Cwmtillery CF Community Regeneration Programme
2008-2012

The Cwmtillery Ward Communities First Local Partnership Board through its co-ordinator has devised a 4-year programme (2008-2012) of projects and activities to tackle the issues identified by the community itself coupled with independently-derived figures and statistics on deprivation for the area.

The Cwmtillery Ward Communities First Local Partnership Board commissioned community consultations conducted by Communities Design Gwent (CDG) in conjunction with the previous Cwmtillery Ward Communities First co-ordinator, Claire Day (together with existing data from an audit carried out by the now-defunct Ebbw Fach Development Trust) throughout the ward to find out what local people wanted to see happen in their area to regenerate it.

. Full details are in the CDG consultation report published in late 2005, which is available as downloadable pdf here. Please note this is a very large file and will take some time to download - a hard copy is available for full at the Communities First Information Centre.

In addition, an audit of the Cwmtillery Ward was conducted by the Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO).

Full details are in the GAVO consultation report, which is available as downloadable pdf here.

These two reports coupled with ongoing iterative consultation events undertaken by the current Cwmtillery Ward Communities First team have provided the basis for the Cwmtillery Ward Communities First action plan, which will evolve as the situation changes and demands.
